Dining

From sushi, satays and other ethnic specialties to flame-broiled steak, seafood and pizzeria, Charlotte also sizzles as a smorgasbord for dining pleasure. Named for George III’s wife, Queen Charlotte, and in 1780 labeled by Lord Cornwallis as a Hornet’s nest of patriotism, the culinary selections in Charlotte are definitely fit for a King (and Queen!)

Chinese, Italian, Mexican, French and other specialty cuisines are all readily available here. Apart from trendy low-carb fare, Charlotte restaurants also serve plenty of old-fashioned rib-sticking favorites, from Brunswick stew, southern fried chicken, pork barbeque, biscuits and mashed potatoes to fruit cobblers and chocolate cream pie.
